  • The table cameras have been developed and have been placed online! Just click on the picture links.
  • Our wedding video, which was, for better or worse, shot on Mini-DV, has been digitized - now it needs to be edited and condensed from its 2 hours and 30 minutes.
11/19/01
  • We did it! So far we have 3 diskettes of Carol Manzi's digital pictures, and 14 rolls from the table cameras (yes, 2-3 cameras are missing in action). We also have the video but it is on Mini-DV and it will have to wait before we can do anything with it. Pictures will be posted as we get them.

  • We went to Costco (again) and Albertsons (a grocery store) trying to finish up what we need to buy. We then went to Staples and bought the ceremony programs, which we printed up at Kathy Takamoto's. Ira worked on the program printing while Kathy sewed the favor bags, ironed the favor bags, hemmed the favor bags, and put ribbon through the favor bags. Joelle took each completed bag, put in the 18 (Chai!) Jordan Almonds and tied it shut, put on gold ribbon and a little wedding placard. This day took about 12 hours from start to finish, all on this wedding stuff. While we were at Staples, Colette came by, gave us some alcohol she picked up for us (thank you, Colette), and showed Joelle the seating cards.
11/07/01
  • Colette came to the Warner lot and took Ira to Costco for yet more stuff. Ira gave Colette the seating chart and all the fixins - Colette will be doing the caligraphy and setting the cards up.
  • The band leader came by to work out the final schedule and song lists.
11/06/01
  • Marissa dropped off the Bridesmaid's dresses tonight.
11/05/01
  • We had our third and final meeting with the Rabbi tonight.
  • The florist came over and took the cake picture and centerpiece picture, and all the centerpiece items Joelle had bought with Kathy and Colette. Yay - some stuff LEAVING the house!
11/01/01
  • We had our big sit down with the Temple Coordinator and the Caterer. The menu was set, the final count sent, the linens set, the schedule set. Joelle and Ira have been banned from wearing watches to the wedding by the Temple Coordinator.
10/23/01
  • We met with the Temple wedding coordinator to get the details of the evening and all of our questions answered. We have a meeting with the caterer on Saturday to round the rest of the stuff off.
  • You have sent in your RSVP card, right?
10/22/01
  • Joelle has selected the ceremony music and given it to the ceremony trio. Yay.
10/21/01
  • Joelle got her shoes and necklace.
  • Joelle and Ira picked up more of the wedding alcohol, including the Kosher wine and champagne.
10/15/01
  • We had our second meeting with the Rabbi tonight. He approved the Ketubah (the Jewish marriage contract) and took the Marriage License.
  • We have learned that the cocktail party will start at 6:30, the Rabbi will show up at 6:45 to have the Ketubah signed and do a few private religious items, and then the ceremony will start at 7:30, and will last about 1/2 hour.
10/10/01
  • Ira's grandmother passed away on October 5th. Lisa (sister) and Norma (sister-in-law) will still walk down the aisle together, each holding a flower, in commemoration of Ira's Grandmother and Joelle's Mother.
10/08/01
  • Because LANAC has free shipping and free gift wrap, and better prices than Bloomies, we have added Lanac to our Registry Page.
9/23/01
  • We have finally gotten to speak to the bakery, who told us not to bother them until it gets much closer to the date.
9/16/01
  • We are down to 5 songs for the first dance. Joelle has already picked the song she will dance with her foster father.
9/15/01
  • We have bought most of the alcohol for the wedding today --- thanks to a co-worker who was a member of Costco.
9/08/01
  • Our photographer, Nino, came down to the temple, and even got to speak to the Rabbi to get the ground rules. I think the photography is now locked and loaded.
